My sympathies Elaine and family. I met Sid when he volunteered to help with our Gimli Community Gardens. Every spring and fall Sid came and roto-tilled the gardens and help stake the plots. Sid planted his own plot in the gardens and we all admired his garden as it was always well cared for and his vegetables were fantastic. Sid helped make our Gimli Community Gardens the success it is. Always kind and helpful, Sid...you will be missed.

My deepest condolences to Elaine, Darryl, Jason and your families. Sid, as you all know was a wonderful man. As my Chief when we moved to Thompson, Sid and Elaine were the first people to have us over to their house for a visit. A mentor in every sense of the word, Sid guided many junior officers through the quagmire of our professional, legal and moral responsibilities. Sid had the rare gift of combining supervision and friendship to his staff. Your legacy lives in the officers who followed you!

Wow! What a shock. Sidney is only 17 days older than I and I remember our close birthdays and many childhood family events within our families plus school days in Gilbert Plains. Prayers and blessings to the Robak family.

Our deepest condolences to the whole family on the passing of cousin Sid. Him and my brother Mervin were great babysitters for Ted and myself when we were growing up. I see he never lost that smile. Please keep in mind that he is up in heaven watching over all of you now, so take comfort in that. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of mourning.

Really enjoyed reading about Sid and his love of life, family and the outdoors. You can definitely see all of those attributes in his kind, smiling face. Makes you feel he's one of those people you wish you had the chance to know better.

Our sincere condolences.

Linda, John, Amy, Jenna and Alex (Vanyo)

Sid was one of the most respected Resource Officers by his peers, staff and the public at large. Those who knew him and worked with him are better people for the privilege.
