Frances Lillian Domich

March 6, 1938 – March 17, 2024

With a heavy heart today, we announce the passing of Frances Lillian Domich. She passed peacefully on March 17, 2024 at the age of 86 years, surrounded by family, at the Selkirk hospital. She leaves behind her loving husband Stanley Domich.

Frances was born in Little Current, Ontario, where she met the love of her life. They were married November 23, 1957 and enjoyed the next 66 years of incredible adventures together.  She was a hard worker and will be fondly remembered for her pride and love of her garden.  She spent her life working and supporting her family. She was a loving care giver to many.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Stanley Domich; son Wayne Martel (Nicole); grandchildren Terrance (Beth), Jenilee (Jack); great-grandchildren, Conner, and Aidan; sister Donna Scheeler as well as many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of life for Frances will be announced and held in the spring of 2024. Interment will be held at the Elma Cemetery at that time.

We would like to thank the Staff at the Selkirk Hospital for there loving care.

God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be,

So he closed his arms around you and whispered “Come to me”

In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away.

Our hearts were truly broken, You fought so hard to stay.

But when we saw you sleeping, Peacefully and free from Pain,

We could not wish you back, To suffer that again.

So keep your arms around her, And give her special care,

Make up for all she suffered, That seemed to us unfair.

So many times we’ve needed you, So many times we’ve cried.

If love could have save you, You never would have died.
