Alvin Donald

   It is with deep regret that we announce the sudden passing of Alvin Donald on May 15th, 2019 at the Selkirk Regional Health Center at the age of 73 years old.

   Alvin is survived by his sister Margaret, brother Marvin(Kerry), special niece Marcy, special friends Harold and Vicky and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Rose, father Thomas, brother Bill and sisters Irene, Leona, Verna, Arvadell, Gertrude and Anne.

   He was born in Grand Marais, Manitoba and from there moved to Winnipeg then to Selkirk where he spent the rest of his life. He loved to listen to any kind of live music and would go every Wednesday with his friend Harold to the Park View manor and visit and enjoy the music with the friends he made when he used to reside there. He enjoyed casting a line down by the river and to get out for a coffee and a car ride whenever possible.

   A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 21st, 2019 at 2:00pm at Gilbart's funeral home.

   A spreading of his ashes will be at a later date.

   Honorary pallbearers: Marvin Donald, Trevor Sanderson, Thomas Sanderson, Harold Nadwidny and Barry Gefreiter.
