BARRY ALLAN BENZELOCK
December 12, 1953 – May 7, 2018.
In peace and with his family and friends around him, on May 7, 2018, Barry Allan (Bunzy) Benzelock passed away at Health Science Centre, in Winnipeg.
Barry will be forever loved and his memory treasured by his beloved wife Carol and her children, Tracy (Bernie), Brian (Sherri), Keri-Ann (Rob) and grandchildren Colton, Matthew, Kaidyn and Corbin, his brother Don (Linda), nephews Robert, Richard (Tara), Steven (Erin) and extended family throughout Manitoba and beyond. Barry was predeceased by his parents Peter (Sonic) and Anastasia (Nettie).
Barry was born in Winnipeg but lived in various parts of Manitoba and Saskatchewan through the years. He enjoyed travelling and cruising with the love of his life Carol and their dogs. They spent many winters together in Phoenix. Barry was an avid race fan and enjoyed catching live races whenever and wherever he could. He had a love for cars and a talent for fixing them up and selling them. He was a member of “The Camaro Club” with his close friends who enjoyed going out with him for some “official” business which mostly consisted of camaraderie and laughter. Barry was a great cook and even won several chili cook-offs in Phoenix. Barry was easy to get to know and love which is why he had so many lifelong friends.
In accordance with Barry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private celebration of his life will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018 with family and close friends.
Condolences, pictures and videos may be left on his tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com.
