Carol Matheson
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our mom, Carol Matheson (nee Smith). She passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Carol leaves to mourn her son, Kenneth (Vicki); two daughters, Barbara and Pamela; four grandchildren, Tesla, Brendan, Skylynn, and Adam; three great-grandchildren, Rayleah, Arrietta, and Levi; sister, Jean; two brothers, Edward and Bill; 3 sisters-in-law Vicki (Ron Runzer), Margaret , Irene and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol was first and foremost a loving mother and devoted friend. Her door was always open for company, high spirited conversations, and laughter.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline Street, Selkirk, Manitoba. Viewing will occur one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Wakefield Cemetery in the spring.
