Charles (Charlie) Fidler Obituary

Charles William Fidler
February 14, 1962 - October 13, 2019
It is with broken hearts that the family announces the passing of Charlie after a very brief battle with cancer.  Charlie passed in peace and with the comfort of his brother John (aka Bros)  holding his hand and by his side, as he always was through Charlie's life.  Charlie was pre-deceased by his loving mother Eva, whom he missed so much.  The two of them will now be reunited to watch over us all.
Charlie is survived  by his wife Lorraine; children Adam (Laura), and Amy; brother John (Della); father Gene (Marilyn), brothers-in-law Mike (Wendy), Andy (Charito), Mark (Sue) as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.  Charlie loved his kids more than anything and couldn't have been more proud.  He was very quick witted and those who understood his sense of humour were very entertained.  We would like to thank Dr. R.R. Lindenschmidt for his compassionate care and all the staff at Selkirk Hospital Palliative Care.  A big thank you to brother-in-law and childhood bestie Mike for being there for Charlie in his final weeks.
A memorial service will take place on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk.  Cremation has taken place.  In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba
Rest peacefully now Charlie.  We will always love you!
Condolences may be left on his tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com.
