Cynthia (Cindy) Anne Poitras (nee Bell)

Peacefully on Sunday, March 18, 2018 with her family by her side, Cindy Poitras, of Selkirk, MB aged 60 years passed away at Selkirk Regional Health Center.

She leaves to mourn her husband Bobby of 43 years; sons Louis (Kristin) and Kristinn (Cole); grandchildren Braden, Dominic, Brooke and Cheri; mother Eleanor; sisters Christine, Lizza and Sandra; sister-in-law Terri and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her father Kristinn; brothers, David, Dennis and sister Susan.

Cindy was born in Selkirk MB and lived her early years on Hecla Island learning to bake with Amma and passed this tradition on to her own granddaughters. Cindy's vinarterta became legendary along with many other tasty treats. The family couldn't wait to gather for Sunday dinners. She loved to do gardening and kept a beautiful yard. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend and would do anything for them. She met her soulmate and the love of her life Bobby in 1973 when she was 15 and they were inseparable ever since.

A celebration of life will be held at the Selkirk Friendship Centre Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
