David Dempsey Linklater

On Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Selkirk Regional Health Center, David Linklater, aged 68 years of Selkirk, Mb, passed away.

David is survived by his wife Valerie of 47 years; children Corey (Melody), Mark and Jodie (Steven); grandchildren Richelle, Harley, Haylee, and Kaden; great grandchildren Mayson, Maddix, Cora-lee, Zayda, Zander and Elias. Also brothers Derence (Sandra), Cleo, Robin, John, Jay and Douglas (Lana) and sisters Stephanie, Iris and Florence; sister-in-law Blanche Louis and brother-in-law Roger (Celena)

He was predeceased by his father C. Dempsey and mother Florence; brother Keith; infant sister Yuille-Ann; father-in-law Steve and mother-in-law Ellen AKA Granny Roger; brother-in-law Percy and special niece Kim.

David was born and raised in Grand Marais, MB. He was a kind loving man and a great provider, He loved spending time with family hunting, fishing and camping. He worked for CN Rail until his retirement in 2000.

The family would like to thank Dr. Demsas and the nurses and staff who cared for David and also to the nurses and staff in the Dialysis Unit.

Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB.
