Dennie (Dennis) Manson
After a long courageous battle with Lung Cancer and COPD, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend, on Friday May 31, 2019, at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre at the age of 72. Born in Loon Lake, Saskatchewan on August 13, 1946, Dennis was predeceased by his parents Ardice and Norval Manson, his wife Linda Werenich, and brother Rick Manson.
Left to treasure Dennis' memory is his girlfriend Donna; his kids Sandy (Roger) of Libau, Shauna (Jay) of Lockport, Cory (Pam) of Winnipeg, Tracey of Swan River, brothers Dave (Mary) of Selkirk and Larry (Gord) of Winnipeg and grandchildren Janelle, Tanner, Holly, Teagan, Lucas and Nicolas.
Dennis enjoyed several occupation endeavours throughout the years, retiring from long haul trucking in 2011. He enjoyed meeting new friends as well as old, while enjoying his retirement living in Texas in the winter and at Netley in the summer.
As per Dennis' wishes, a private family graveside service will be held. The Family would like to thank all of the home care staff, with special thanks to Debbie and Doris. A big hug and thanks to nurses Collette and Susan, palliative nurses Melanie and Laura, as well Dr. Clark and Dr. Graham for all of their support throughout the past year.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Selkirk Regional Health Centre, Palliative Care Program or CancerCare Manitoba.
