DENNIS LEA
It is with broken hearts and great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our brother Dennis on Friday, September 27, 2019 at the Family home in Pine Dock, Manitoba at the age of 61.
Dennis was born July 11, 1958 in Little Bullhead, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his father Richard, mother Mabel, sister Paulette and brother Calvin.
Left to cherish his memory is brothers Ron, Lorne (Anna), Gary and Franklin (Tina) and sister Janice (Danny). He also leaves to mourn numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.
Dennis spent his early years in Pine Dock, where he attended Elementary School. He moved away to attend High School in Selkirk, Manitoba briefly before returning home.
Dennis worked for Riverton Transport in his younger years. He later moved to Winnipeg and worked at Wilmar Windows, but unfortunately had to leave due to health concerns.
Dennis lived most of his adult life in Winnipeg where he spent many years with his long-time friend Izabelle and her family.
Dennis moved back home to Pine Dock after the passing of his youngest brother Calvin, last year. After returning to his home town he enjoyed walking along the shore, sitting by the lake, rod & reel fishing and visiting with family.
Dennis liked listening to music, singing and playing the guitar in his younger years. He enjoyed reading and writing which made him a very knowledgeable man. Dennis loved spending time with family and friends- telling stories, playing cards and going out for walks with them.
A special thank you to those who have shared in Dennis’ life and to those who have supported the family during this difficult time. Dennis will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Pallbearers will be brothers Ron Lea, Lorne Lea, Gary Lea and Franklin Lea, nephew Kalen Monkman and best friend Kevin Bruce. Honorary pallbearers are his nephews.
