Dennis Joseph Narynski
Surrounded by the love of family and blessed with spending his last days at home, Dennis passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019.
He remained positive throughout his valiant battle with cancer and has now been honoured with peace and rest.
In the days leading up to his passing, Dennis spent loving and healing time with his wife Patricia, his daughter Heather and her son Miles, his son Ryan, and his daughter Angela, and her family, Dave and daughter Eve. He showed an incredible strength, tenderness and love during this powerful final time.
He will be missed as ‘Gida’ by his beloved grandchildren and fondly remembered by many other family members and friends.
Born and raised in Winnipeg’s North End, Dennis entered the workforce at a young age with The Canadian Wheat Board and later at Standard Aero, where he remained for thirty-nine years. As a dedicated entrepreneur and small business owner, Dennis also began Narynski Income Tax Services in the 1970’s while working a full-time job. For the next forty years, he developed heartwarming friendships, with many returning customers becoming life-long friends.
Dennis was a hard-working and dedicated man. He was interested in computers and technology, but also took pleasure in the beauty of simple things; playing cribbage, being outdoors on a sunny day, or having a daily walk and coffee with his best friend Tom. He loved Hawaii and enjoyed many memorable holidays there with his wife ‘Trish’.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church in Selkirk with Fr. Barry Schoonbaert officiating. Interment to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Andrew Maksymiuk and CancerCare Manitoba, Homecare and Palliative Care Teams, CancerCare at Selkirk Regional Health Centre and Dr. Richard Lindenschmidt for their compassionate and exemplary care.
Memorial donations in memory of Dennis can be made to Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church Building Fund, 269 Jemima Street, Selkirk, MB, R1A1W9 or a charity of your choice.
