Elenore Christison (Zarichney, nee Kipling)
Peacefully, on Friday, August 2, 2019 at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre, after a short but courageous battle with cancer, Elenore Christison, aged 76 years, a longtime resident of East Selkirk, MB, passed away.
Elenore was born in Winnipeg, MB on September 16, 1942.
Predeceased by her father Gilbert Kipling in 1945; mother Anna Kipling in 1994; first husband Arnold Zarichney in 1990 and son Gilbert Zarichney in 1990.
She is survived by husband Jim Christison; sons Matt Zarichney and Sheldon (Theresa) Zarichney; sister Lorna (Randy) Gilewich; grandchildren Heather, Brittany, Zakary, Terri, Wayne and Jessica; 4 great-grandchildren and grandpups Marley, Duke and Daisy.
Elenore lived in Red Lake, ON, Fox Creek, AB, Chetwynd, B.C., and then relocated back to East Selkirk. She worked 20 years at Middle Church Home, retired in 2007. In her first marriage, she enjoyed travelling in their float planes with children and dog, camping and fishing. In her current marriage she enjoyed travelling to the Caribbean, Steam Engine shows, camping, family events and grandpups. Elenore was a beautiful person inside and out and will be deeply missed by husband, sons, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre and Gilbart Funeral Home for their compassionate service at this difficult time.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of her life will take place on August 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St. Selkirk, MB with reception to follow. Private family interment will take place.
