Ernest (Ernie) Richard Collins

Peacefully on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the Health Sciences Center, Ernie Collins, aged 71 years, of Grand Marais, MB, formerly of the Pine dock area, passed away.

Ernie is survived by his children Shelden (Christine) of Winnipeg, Anita of Seine River First Nations; grandchildren Tyrell, Jesse, Toni, and Jake as well as a number of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Roderick and Nellie Collins; brothers Robert, Roderick Jr, William and Joe; sisters Edna and Jessie.

Ernie loved fishing, hunting and anything outdoors in his younger years. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all that knew him.

A Celebration of life and lunch will be held Monday, September 25, at 11:00 a.m. in the Riverton Recreation Center with Barb Holmstrom officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at the Pine Dock Cemetery.
