Gail (Nannie) Morrison (nee Christie)

Peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre, Gail Morrison, aged 78 of Meadowdale, Manitoba left us to join her beloved husband Bob in heaven.

In passing she leaves to mourn her children Lisa (Adolf) and Blake (Darlene); grandchildren Jennifer (Duncan), Cassie (Jerret), Michelle (Amber) and Jarret (Steph); precious great-granddaughter Harlow; brother Randy (Joan); sister-in-law Margo (Allen); and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was born in Selkirk, Manitoba on April 14, 1941. She married Bob, the love of her life on August 5, 1960 and they spent 49 years together raising their family, farming, travelling and in later years enjoying their grandchildren.

“Nannie” loved to spend her Friday nights gathered around the kitchen table with her family, good friend Gwen and anyone and everyone else who dare to enter what we jokingly referred to as the “darkside.”

Gail enjoyed her may trips with Fern and Carmen “the girls” to casinos, Mexico, visits to Elmira to see Joan and Bill or trips to Abbotsford to visit Punky and Joan. She always had her suitcase packed and ready to go.

Nannie absolutely adored her grandchildren. She was so happy to spend time with them and loved watching their countless activities from hockey to band concerts. She even got to help plan some weddings

The family would like to thank all the staff on the med/surg ward at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre, they were amazing. We would also like to thank Dr. Demsas and special thanks to Dr. Paradowsky who took such great care of her while Dr. Demsas was on vacation.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date.

You were the glue in our family. You will be missed. Love you so much Nannie!
