Jack William Samborski

October 19, 1944 – September 19, 2019

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Jack.

He was predeceased by both his parents John and Joyce Yourchenko; brother Randy Samborski and father-in-law Gerry Finley.

Left to mourn the loss of Jack is his loving wife of 40 years Leslie; he is also survived by his children Krista (Doug), Tisha (Dave), Jamie (Jennifer);grandchildren Alissa, Brittany (Tristan), Tyson, Jakob, Jerika; sister Linda (Don); brother Jerry; mother-in-law Sina Finley; brothers-in-law Mike and Rob Finley; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and lifelong friends Randy Slater (Debbie), late Ritchie Stasiuk, Melvin and Adeline Mishtak; his “fur babies Shortie and Yum Yum.

Jack’s passion was hunting, fishing and camping. Many weekends were spent at Montago Lake with family and friends.

For the last 9 years Jack was a proud volunteer at EBN which gave his life meaning and purpose beyond belief. A special thank you to the staff members, directors, fellow volunteers, customers and board members who crossed his path over the years and enriched Jack’s life with such love and friendship.

A heartfelt thank you to the paramedics and RCMP officers who came to help Jack. To all the nurses who took such good care of him.

A special thank you to Debbie Fakes for being here for Leslie.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on October 19 in Gimli at the Aspen Park Community Center from 1:00 -3:00 p.m. with private burial to follow.
