It is with deep regret we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Jessie Kucher on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Red River Place, Selkirk, MB.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Lena Malenki and son-in-law Harry Malenki as well as her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Nick in 1976; parents Peter and Agnes; four sisters; 2 brothers and a son at birth.

She was born in Fraserwood and moved to Gimli where she resided. She enjoyed her garden, making perogies, cabbage rolls and pies, which she gave to her family and friends.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 in the Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church, Gimli, MB, at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Mark Gnutel and Fr. Harry Chuckry officiating. Interment will take place following the reception in the Fraserwood Community Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations of prayer may be made in her memory at the Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church, Gimli MB or St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church Winnipeg, MB.

The family would like to thank the Red River Place staff for all the care and kindness shown to our mother during her time there.
