John Dennis Dick

On Wednesday November 6th, 2019 surrounded with love Dennis Dick was taken to his new garage in Heaven.

Left to Cherish his memory are his Loving wife of 54 ½ years, Patricia, and sons Dwayne (Michelle), and Mark (Jolene). Carrying on his legacy are his beloved grandchildren Wyatt (Meagan), Jared, Chloe and Ross.

Dennis was born on January 20th, 1945 and was raised in the Interlake region of Manitoba. His love/hate relationship with Aviation began in 1964. Dennis was an accomplished Aircraft Mechanical Engineer; whose career took him and his family all over Manitoba and Northern Ontario. The last 32 years of his adventurous career were spent with Manitoba Air Division. Dennis and his son Dwayne also worked together for 16 years at Phoenix Air Spray ltd., their Aerial Application (crop Dusting) business.

Upon retirement, Dennis discovered his new passion, the restoration of antique tractors. With the grandchildren learning by his side, He lovingly restored 9 tractors which he proudly displayed with the Rockwood Antique Tractor club. When he wasn’t “Going for Coffee”, Dennis would be found in his garage, teaching his grandkids the finer points of mechanics, and about life.

Dennis will be greatly missed by all whose paths he crossed.

The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the entire Healthcare Team at Stonewall hospital. Words are not enough to thank you for the kindness and compassion provided for Dennis in his final days.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
