Karen Keller Obituary

Karen Keller (nee Kosowicz)

October 5, 1958 – April 9, 2018

Suddenly on Monday, April 9, 2018, Karen Jane Keller passed away at her residence at the age of 59 years.  She is predeceased by her husband Richard Keller and her parents Stephen and Pauline Kosowicz.  She is survived by her daughter Karianne; sisters, Susan (Peter) Baker and Darlene (Gord) Marsch; sister-in-law Wanda Yanosik (John); niece Amber (Clinton) Reichert and nephews Chance Baker and Johnathon MacFarlane and great-nephew Blayse Reichert, as well as Uncle Peter Kosowicz.  She also leaves behind many cousins and friends.

Karen was well known in the community.  She was known for being a hard worker, working many years at A & W in Lockport and in recent years at A & W in Selkirk.  She was also property manager for Century Place Selkirk apartment block. Karen was also Vice President of the Selkirk & District Ukrainian Dance School of which her daughter Karianne was a member since she was 5 years old.  She was beloved by all who knew her and wore her heart on her sleeve.  She was always there to chat, especially with the many residents who lived in the block she managed.

Karen supported her daughter as she participated in dancing and band and always made sure that family knew when all the recitals were.  She enjoyed visiting with her family on birthdays and holidays and always had a greeting card in hand.

She has now joined her husband Richard, the love of her life. May she rest in peace.  We will miss your holubsti at family gatherings.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk, MB.
