Keith Mitchell Kopansky  

1955 -2018

Peacefully on June 13th, 2018, Keith passed away at the age of 62. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Nick Kopansky.

Keith is survived by his wife, Yvonne, and brothers, Russell and Jimmy. He will be greatly missed by his children, Christine, Brion (Michelle) and Angela (Rob) and grandchildren, Matthew, Jessica (Wes), Josh, Justin, Kenzie, Erik, Evan and great-grandchild, Jordan.

Family was everything to Keith, and Keith meant everything to the family.

Keith was born in East Selkirk and attended Happy Thought and Selkirk Regional Comprehensive High School. He graduated from the Civil Engineering program at Red River College and he worked for Manitoba Highways for 38 years. He retired in 2010.

Keith enjoyed farming with his father and continued to farm on his own on the family homestead in East Selkirk. He and Yvonne ran a U-Pick Berry farm for 16 years.

Keith loved to golf, snowmobile, and take trips to the casino with friends. He was known for his great sense of humor which stayed with him always, even during difficult times.

The family wishes to thank Dr. R.R. Lindenschmidt and Selkirk Palliative Care for their support.

A celebration of Keith’s life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline Street, Selkirk, MB.

In lieu of flowers donation's in Keith's memory can be made to Cancer Care Manitoba.
