Kerry Taylor Obituary

Kerry John Taylor

March 14th, 1956 - May 25th, 2018

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend, Kerry Taylor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Kerry is survived by his mother Irene, his sisters Tanis and Deb (Tony), his sons Ed (Becky) and James (Amy), and his companion Karen. Kerry was a wonderful grandfather to Darrion, Olivia, and Emily (Ed), Harlon, Kirston, and Karlie (James). Kerry was also a cherished uncle to Billie (Fed) and Amy (Shaun), and a great uncle to Billie’s children Noah and Jackson. Kerry was predeceased by his father Tim.

Kerry approached everything in life with gusto; 100% or nothing. He loved his work in Gillam in his younger years and his 30 years at the Manitoba Rolling Mills. Kerry was a generous man with his time and help. He would and did drive halfway across the country to help his loved ones. He was the best handyman a person could ask for. Ever humble, Kerry referred to himself as a hacker, but he was a determined hacker. He loved a good game of golf and a get together with the family, but not too long because he always had things on the go that needed tending. Kerry also loved kayaking and canoeing, spending time with the gang from Beaconia, and the Red River AA Group.

A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, June 20th, 2018 at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk at 2:00 p.m.
