It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Laura Fox on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019 at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre, surrounded by family at the age of 50.
Laura is survived by her devoted husband John Laudinsky; parents Peter and Veronica King; sons Cody and Carson Fox; brother Bryan King; and her loving pet Abbey.
Growing up in East Selkirk, Laura was actively involved in the community through the East Selkirk Hall. Her early years of volunteering with Bingo through her teens and most recently of organizing the reservations for various events.
Laura will always be fondly remembered by everyone. She loved Christmas, decorating, organizing, serving dinner, having friends and family over to enjoy backyard gatherings, playing cards or just visiting. Gardening and yard work were her passion taking pride in making her yard look like a park. She loved to travel visiting locations all across Canada, US and Europe.
Most recently she had the opportunity to travel to Alaska and the Caribbean. Enjoying the beautiful scenery, taking lots of pictures, sampling local food and drink while bargaining with local vendors.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and a special thank you to Dr. Krahn, Dr. Mckay , Dr. Gingerich , Dr. Anderson ,the staff at St Boniface, Health sciences center, Selkirk Regional Health Centre and the home care team for all their assistance, care , expertise, compassion and love.
Celebration of her life will take place in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 26th, followed by lunch at the East Selkirk Hall for 11:30am.
