Sadly on January 13, 2020, Lillian Francis passed away at Health Science Centre surrounded by family.  She will be sorely missed.

Lillian was predeceased by her loving husband Ernest, her son Robert, her parents William and Francis Arvidson and sister Ramona Engrecht.  She is survived by her brothers William, Nels, and Ron Arvidson and many nieces, nephews and cousins in the Winnipeg and Kelwood areas.

Lillian was born in Alberta.  Her family moved to Kelwood MB where her parents Homesteaded.  She moved to Winnipeg to continue her education where she later met Ernie.

Lillian had seven children, Judith Klos (Bob), Robert Marsden (deceased), Linell Marsden, Alison Bennett, William Marsden, Caryn Dubois (Pat) and Sharon Duncan.  She had nine grandchildren Joshua Hingtgen (Ling), Kimberly McMillan (Brent), Sean Bennett (Marion), Angela Bennett, Cody Klos, Robert Dubois, William Dubois, Margaret Duncan, Michael Duncan and seven great grandchildren, Sophie, Shayla, Mark, Sloane, Ellyna, Alec and Isla.

Lillian worked at Middlechurch Personal Care Home for 20 years.  She went back to school (Red River Community College) when all seven kids were in school.  After graduating, she worked at Great West Life until she retired at 58.  She was also in the Army Reserves for 25 years.

Lillian volunteered at Middlechurch Home as a friendly visitor and prayed with residents in need.  She had a very strong Anglican Faith and volunteered at St. Paul’s Anglican Church for most of her life.

Thank you to mom’s brother Bill, Cousin Don, Cecil, David and nephew John Larsson for keeping in contact with mom and making her days brighter.  We appreciate all you did for her over the years.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on Monday, January 20 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk, MB.
