Lyla Cromarty

March 16, 1932 – May 3, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lyla Cromarty on May 3, 2019 at Riverview Health Center.

Lyla lived most of her life in Selkirk, Manitoba until she was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia 11 years ago then moved to Winnipeg to be cared for by her daughter Michelle.

Lyla was predeceased by her partner Justinus “Dutchy” Rossong, her brother Raymond Cromarty, her mother Mabel Cromarty and father Arnold Cromarty.

Lyla was a mother of 6 and had many grandchildren and great grandchildren that she cared for dearly.

Special thank you to Riverview Palliative Care and Riverview Alzheimer’s Units for the amazing care and family support over the last year!

Lyla will be greatly missed by her family and those that met her along the way. Rest in peace Mom and Grandma.

In lieu of flowers, donations made in Lyla’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba will be greatly appreciated.
