Mary Harluck
It is with sadness we have to say good bye to our precious Mary. Beloved daughter, sister, wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, and treasured friend.
Mary went to be with our Lord November 2, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Betel Home Selkirk, Manitoba at the young age of 85.
Born to Elsie and Nicholas Symchysn Feb 3/1934 in Dauphin Manitoba
She was predeceased by her 3 sons, Dale Darcy, Barry and Carter, her parents Nicholas and Elsie Symchysn, her brothers Ernie (Christine-deceased) Symchysn, Jim (Louise-deceased) Simms (formerly Symchysn), sister Olive (Jake-deceased) Ryz, previous husband Neil Bowie and John Chanas.
She is survived by her Husband Bert Harluck, Daughter in Law Myna Bowie, Grandchildren Zachary Bowie and Jamie Cuomo and Great Grandchildren Carter and Samantha, Brother Fred Symchysn, sister Norma (Donald-deceased) Harris, sister Elizabeth (Otto-deceased) Pestyk, sister Vivian (Steve) Henry, and sister Rose (Frank-deceased) Petry, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Through the years Mary lived in Dauphin, Brandon, Beaconia, Libau, East Selkirk and Selkirk. She made many good friends along the way. She worked most recently as a Health Care Aide in Betel Home. In retirement her and husband Bert loved camping and travelled visiting family everywhere. She had many passions in life; family, animals, music, cooking, travel, and gardening. She was great at everything she tackled and shared her extensive knowledge with many others. She loved to laugh and people loved to laugh with her.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. with Father Josh Gundrum officiating.
Those left behind will always cherish her loving memory.
Special appreciation to all the Betel Home staff and Dr Zoppa for their loving care in her final years and especially her final hours.
Special appreciation also to Father Josh Gundrum for attending and anointing her before her passing and bringing a calming presence to all of us.
