Mike Berens Obituary

Michael William Berens

March 16, 1964 – April 19, 2018

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Michael Williams Berens our beloved husband and father.  He left us suddenly and much too soon.  Left to cherish his memory are his wife Lana, his sons Dylan and Austin, and daughter Sheena.  Also left to mourn are his brothers John (Shirley), Ron (Debbie), his sister Susan, step-father William Kochie and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents Fred Berens and Patricia Kochie, mother-in-law Pearl Calder, brother-in-law Kirk Calder, nephew Corey Berens and niece Candace Berens.  Mike was born in Winnipeg.  Mike was a hard worker and worked in the construction industry for many years a job he loved and took pride in.  For the last eight years Mike worked for Hydro-Vac Solutions a company owned by his brother Ron.  He had a great sense of humour and loved to make people laugh.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He loved spending time with his dogs Bailey, Diamond and Max.  Mike liked playing games, watching sports and laughing with friends and family.  He had a special relationship with his nephew Corey and loved working and spending time with him.

He will be forever loved and dearly missed by his family and many friends.

A Celebration of Mike’s Life will be held on Wednesday, April 25th, 2018 at Gilbart’s Funeral Home, 309 Eveline Street, Selkirk, MB at 11am.

Don’t cry for me, I’m not gone

My soul is at rest. My heart lives on.

Light a candle for me to see

and hold on to my memory,

but save your tears for I’m still here,

by your side throughout the years
