My condolences to you all on the loss of Minota. I just happened across this sad news today - while researching my name. I live in Dublin, Ireland and I think we may be related. My father researched our family tree just before I was born and came across a 'Mac Dermot' - my maiden name - who emigrate to Canada form Scotland - hence my name :-)
Your mother sounded like a fabulous Christian person - full of love and kindness, you were all lucky to have her in your life.

I (Elvera) want to express my sadness to you, Minota's family. My good times with her stretch back 55 years ago. I was new to Winnipeg and Grant Memorial Baptist church. Our mutual love of music drew us together. . It was wonderful. We sang in a trio together, matching, outfits and all.! The last time our paths crossed was at Grant a few years ago and it is such a sweet memory of her hug, smiles and of course her lovable laughter. Thank you God for the gift of her friendship..

Minota was such a kind friend hosting us, Chinese visiting scholars in Winnipeg 2003. We were like a family there where for most of us was the first time going abroad. Minota taught us English, treated us at her home, took us to churches to meet her friends and other family members. I still remember well the time we spent in Winnipeg, it was unforgetable. Minotal gots my all blessings.

Hello Paul, and family! We didn't know your Mum well, but as we attended 55+ and prayed for her, I knew she loved the Lord and was so looking forward to going home to be with her George. One day in calling her she shared her favourite hymn "What God Hath Promised." It was a privilege to pray for Minota and family! And to have a few conversation with you Donna. Know that we will as a prayer community at GMBC will continue to pray for you and your family! May you feel the comfort of our Lord!

We were sorry to hear of Minota's passing. We had lost touch but Prayed for her after George had passed away. We met at church at Grace Bible church and then at Faith Bible Church where Pastor Jim Barber is the Pastor.. She was a wonderful lady and such a pleasure to be with, and to write letters to and to receive hers. Sadly we won't be able to be with you at the time of her service but Please know that we have been and will continue to Pray for the family. May the Lord richly bless each one.

We started attending Grant's senior's group almost 3 years ago where Minota soon noticed I loved bright color as much as she did. She was such a classy dresser with beautiful jewellery to match. One Sunday she called me over and handed me a beautiful pair of earrings to match my teal jacket. I hardly knew her but learned to appreciate her music, and smile but almost every week she would say, "I miss George so much." I am so happy they are together and her suffering and loneliness is over. We pray for you , her dear family. Paul, she so much appreciated your tender care for her. Esther and Richard Quiring.
