Raymond Folster Obituary

Raymond Clint Folster

“Big Buck Down”

Oct. 1, 1974 – Nov. 20, 2019

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ray, with family by his side on November 20, 2019 at St. Boniface hospital.

Left to mourn his passing, his Mother Evelyn, Father John (Maryanne), Sister Angela (Ken), Step Sisters, Tanys and her son Jaxson, Jennifer and her son Lance, Step Brothers Justin and Jesse.   Niece Alexis, Nephew Mackenzie (Breena) and Great Nephew Matthew.   His Aunts, Gail (Christina) Lorraine (John), Dorothy, Ruth (Kevin), Corrine (Allan), Brenda (Leonard) and Uncles, Kurt and Orton, many cousins.

Predeceased by his Town Nan Agnes and Papa Frank, Country Nan Mildred and Papa Sam, Grandpa Red and Grandma Marge, Uncles Rhinauld, Arnold, Charles and Earl.

Ray graduated high school with a Commercial Art major, attended Red River College Green Space Management, and he was a carpenter by trade.  Ray had many things he wanted to be growing up, early on it was Spiderman, a Ninja, Michael Jackson, and Tiger Woods. As he got older it was always to compete on course, get the Biggest Buck, or Master Anglers.

Always competitive in everything he did, his greatest joys were being out on the golf course being part of the dream team to win the Tournaments.  The thrill of the hunt was also one of his passions, always out to get that Trophy Buck.   The hunting stories are many, but they always started with Big Buck Down!! Master Anglers were always on the to do list whether it was winter or summer.

Ray was a great dad to his dog “Rocco” his “baby”. He had a love for dogs all through his life.  Uncle was a name he was proud of, spending countless hours with Mack and Lex. Always there to take them to the EX or teach them about Golf, Carpentry, Hunting or Fishing.

So many Friends over the years, whether it was dirt biking, playing for the East Side Sabres, working at Black Cat Blades, Amsco, Golfing, Hunting or Fishing, he was truly blessed to call you all his friend.

Remember me with smiles and not tears,

For all the joy through all the years,

Recall the closeness that was ours,

A love as sweet as fragrant as flowers,

Don’t dwell on thoughts that cause you pain,

For we’ll see each other once again,

I am at peace …. Try to believe,

It was my time and I had to leave.

But what a view I have from here,

I see your face and see you near,

I’ll follow you throughout the day,

You’re not alone along the way.

And when God calls you… you will be,

Right by my side, right here with me.

Until then, I will wait for you by Heaven’s door,

We’ll be united…. Evermore!

Ray, you will be loved and missed forever, we remember and hold on to all the good times that we shared.  Your struggles are over, and you are now at peace, free to have the best round, hunt the biggest buck and all the master anglers you could dream of!

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Sean Hourie, Teddy “Porky” Langlois, Ryan Delany, Morgan Bear, Rob Bear, Chris Orvis, Jon Spence, Terrence Prince, Jason and Lawrence Hocaluk, Uncles Kurt and Orton Desjarlais.
