Rose Lena Reichert (nee Bahry)

It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Rose Reichert on November 17th, 2019 with her daughter by her side at Tudor House in Selkirk, Manitoba at the age of 95.

Rose was predeceased by Tony Reichert, her husband of 60 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children Delores Siegner, Verna Morrison (Ron), Ed Reichert, Louise Wasylowski, Diane Chapman (Mario); grandchildren Mark, Scott, Roger, Neil, Mark, Jason, Kurt, Theresa, Clayton, Dale, Tammy, Dean, Christen and Christopher; as well as 18 great grandchildren, her sister Jessie Cosgrove, and sister-in-law Rose Reichert (Chris).

Rose was born April 24th, 1924 in Meleb, Manitoba. She married Tony Reichert May 4th, 1941 and they moved to Berlo, Manitoba where she farmed with her husband and raised her 5 children. In 1966 they moved to Gimli and she became a cook at the Gimli Hospital, where she worked until she retired at 65. Rose loved spending time in her vegetable and flower gardens. She enjoyed doing crafts, and loved cooking and having family over.

Service will be held on Saturday, November 23 at 10:00 a.m. at St Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Gimli, Manitoba with interment to follow in the Gimli Community Cemetery.
