Rose (Rosie) May Choboter (Woznik-Wozney)

September 4, 1936 – July 6, 2018

Peacefully after a long battle with cancer, Rose (Rosie) May passed away with her daughter by her side.

Rose May was born in Selkirk, MB to Mary Adamik and John Woznik (Wozney).

Rose was predeceased by her husband Peter Choboter in 1975.

She leaves to mourn her passing and cherishable memory to her 4 children, Bob Choboter, Joanne Kirby (Melvin), Richard Choboter (Janis) and Brenda Choboter; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Rose also leaves to mourn her brother and sisters, Helen Wasnie, Carrie Prychun, Adeline Stefanyshyn and Eddy Wozney (Judy).

Rose worked at Fairfield Woolen Mill in Selkirk before being employed with Lord Selkirk School Division for 27 years.

The family would like to thanks the Selkirk Region Health Centre and Selkirk Homecare Girls. Also would like to thank her niece Audry Woycheshen and Henry Kirby for doing all of mom’s shopping.

She will be missed and loved forever. 

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place on Monday, July 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk.

Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Choboter, Brent Choboter, Myles Kirby, Allan Kardal and Daniel Choboter.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Cancer Society.
