Sidney E. Jones

Sid passed peacefully on June 19, 2018, after many years of failing health at  the age of 85 at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre. Sid was born and grew up in  upstate New York and later made his home in Canada.

Sid loved his Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus and from a young age became an earnest student of the Bible. He was associated with the Dawn Bible Students and  was privileged to serve in several positions which included Trustee, Pilgrim and  eight years as Editor of the Dawn magazine.

Sid, beloved husband of Joan (nee Rozmus) will be greatly missed by her, as  well as family members and friends.

One of Sid’s favorite scriptures from Psalms:

Psalm 36:5-7

5. Your unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as the  heavens;

your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.

6. Your righteousness is like the mighty  mountains,

your justice like the ocean depths.

You care for people and animals alike, O LORD.

7. How precious is your unfailing love, O God!

All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your  wings.

In keeping with Sid’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will  be held.
