Siggi was predeceased by his loving wife Mary of 49 years, his parents, his brothers Jack, Thor, John and Franklin; sisters-in-law Sveinbjorg and Christine; grandson Braden and precious great-granddaughter Aubrey.
Siggi was born on August 20th, 1934 on the family farm in Framnes, northwest of Arborg. Siggi and Franklin took over the family farm, which became Bjornson Brothers farms in 1958. The farm continued to succeed for more than 50 years with countless hours of hard work and good business decisions. While providing for his wife and three children, Siggi also found the time to belong to the Agricultural Society as President and the Snow Runners Club.
Siggi was an avid hunter and fisherman spending a lot of quality time with his son Bradley. Throughout the years he loved curling, snowmobiling, going to dances (first to arrive, last to leave), calling square dances, and hosting many visits with neighbours, family and friends.
A big thank you goes out to all the friends and families who helped our dad. Thank you to the Doctors and staff at Arborg and District Health Centre for all the care and compassion.
A private graveside memorial service will take place for the family at Arborg Community Cemetery.
