Alma Belousow

Alma was born in Romania and immigrated to Canada in 1952 with her oldest daughter Irmgard and her spouse. At the time she was a kindergarten teacher in Germany. She had two other daughters in Canada Linda and Ingrid.

Alma was known for her storytelling, determination and drive, great cooking and baking skills, the love of her family, her ability to enjoy hosting family events and her gardening and love of flowers.

She was predeceased by her husband Ivan, daughter Irma, grandson Matthew and son in law Scott, baby Keisha: as well as her parents Rudolf and Gertrude and siblings Rudy, Otto, Lena and Olga.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughters Linda and Ingrid (Lindsay), grandchildren Jim, Jon, Sonya, Tanya, Jana, Mihaela, Tegan, Ashleigh and their families.

Family wishes to express their appreciation to all her home care workers, nurses and health care aids at Teulon Hospital for the exemplary care they provided to her. She was blessed to be able to remain in her own home until just recently at the age of 97.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday Sept 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at Gimli Lutheran Church, 50 3rd Ave, Gimli Manitoba.
