Andrew McKay

Peacefully on March 9,2023 at 5:04 am our beloved brother, uncle and great uncle Andrew passed away at George Guimond Care Centre, Sagkeeng, Manitoba at the age of 83 years old.

Predeceased by his father Joseph November 9, 1983, mother Julia October 21, 2006, sister Clara (Mark), brother Jack and sister Marina; brother-in-law Delmar Henderson.

He almost made it to his 84th birthday on March 20th, 2023, but he decided to begin his journey to the spiritual world.

Andrew was an outdoors man and was a great shot. He also loved doing puzzles which we think he completed thousands in his lifetime.

Andrew will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his brother Allan Sr (Eleanor), sisters Mary, Doris (Chris), Florence (Ray), special nieces Teresa, Tracy and special nephews Allan (Karen), Brian, Jr, James, Allan McKay Jr, Eugene Henderson, Chris Traverse, Ron Traverse; cousins Charlie John McKay, Josephine Sinclair (Isaac), Shirley LaPlante; grandnephew Joseph, grand niece Mikayla. Numerous nieces and nephews as well.

The family apologizes for not mentioning all his niece and nephews which he talked about.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at George Guimond Care Centre. Nurses Gloria Duke and Donald Hildebrand. And all special staff who took such good care of Andrew.

There will be a gathering for Andrew on March 19th, 2023, from 2-6 p.m. at Richard Sanderson Church, 1338 Main St, Winnipeg,Manitoba

Refreshments and Light lunch will be served.
