Angel Mae Lucille Hatland
It is with unimaginable sadness and heartbreak we announce the passing of Angel Mae Lucille Hatland on November 23, 2024, at the age of 39.
She was preceded in death by her father Norman Hatland, her husband Dawson Wolk, grandparents Harry and Lucille Nilsson, uncle Garry and auntie Dannel.
Left to cherish her memory is her mother Wanda Nilsson and her two beautiful daughters Abby Watson and Emry Hatland. Angel will be lovingly remembered by her brothers Cory, Justin and Jason, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Born at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg on May 28, 1985, to Wanda Nilsson and Norman Hatland, Angel was the youngest of 4 children and the only daughter. She grew up in St. James and spent tons of time in Lac Du Bonnet. Eventually moving to Alberta, she was a free spirit who made friends wherever she was. Her humour and energy were one of a kind and people were drawn to her- if you needed a good laugh, she was your girl. Angel was amazing to be around, always full of compliments and encouraging words despite her own worries or struggles. To list everything great about her is impossible to put into something so short. If you knew her, you loved her.
Don't grieve my family and friends for I'm not gone.
I'm merely out of sight.
For in everything you've shared with me, a part of me burns bright.
In my family and loved one's smiles or gestures you'll recall a time or place.
We've laughed or loved or shared such, that mere absence cannot erase.
So, smile for me, and laugh for me and live your life with zest.
Do treasure all our memories, I offer you my strength.
Go on with life and be proud of me, in you I have such faith.
(Dawson Wolk)
