Baillie Davies Obituary

Baillie Davies

Peacefully on Tuesday, February 2nd, after battling some very serious health issues in the past few months, Baillie passed away peacefully at home with family at his side.
He is survived by his wife Kathy and his sons Kyle (wife Melanie and son Aiden) and Barret (wife Lorena and son Dexter). He also leaves to mourn his passing his sisters Eleanor (Bud), Marge (Butch) and Ruth (John), as well as nieces and nephews Sherryll, Amnesty, Tim, Charlene, Brent, as well as their families.
He was born in Kamsack Saskatchewan and lived the majority of his life in Winnipeg and Lister Rapids in West St. Paul. We moved out to Gimli in 2016 after retiring and he loved it here.
He was a plumber by trade but ended out his career as a maintenance coordinator for Manitoba Housing. His wishes were to travel as much as possible in retirement and fortunately we were able to take some very memorable trips. He especially enjoyed going to Hawaii and our Alaskan cruise to name a couple. I am so very grateful that he was able to fulfill some of his "bucket list" as it was so important to him. Great memories were made on every trip we took and I will always carry them with me.
He enjoyed his life to the fullest and marched to the beat of his own drum. He was very happy just sitting and chatting about anything and everything. I will miss those talks so very much. Just sitting in our gazebo with a glass of wine and Max cuddled up on the love seat with him. Perfection.
I will miss him every day of my life but I always suspected he would leave on this next journey before me. RIP my love. I will do my best to live my life the best I can without you but you will always be a part of me. I will always feel your presence and that’s a very good thing. Rest easy. you will never be forgotten.

In his memory, if so desired, donations may be sent to the Gimli Humane Society or the Manitoba Mutts organization.
