It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Barbara Guimond (Straight) on October 23, 2023. Barbara is predeceased by her parents Agnes Peebles and Stanley Straight her husband Marcel Guimond, her stepson Gordon Guimond, stepdaughter Kimberly Guimond as well as numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She leaves to mourn her partner Clifford Carver her children Charlene Bear, Kelvin Straight, Ashley Straight (Ashley),  Sheila Bear (Clinton), Roxanne Guimond (Nelson) and Roberta Guimond, her step children Larry Guimond (Kim), Robert Guimond (Teresa) and Jamie Seymour (Adrian) her siblings Clarence Straight (Kim), Mary Chief, Judy Jones, Linda Kent, Margie Carver, Joyce Bouttell, Langford Straight (Judy),  Doyle Straight (Charlene), Ronald Straight and Walter Straight, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous family and friends.

Barbara will be remembered for the love for her family and friends, also her sense of humour. Barbara enjoyed going to bingo, VLTS’s, spending time with her family and all her grandchildren. Barbara enjoyed going hunting with her son, going for long drives, yard sales and loved her wrestling.

A wake will be held at Private Tom Chief Memorial Hall in Brokenhead Ojibway Nation on November 1st and 2nd. Wake will begin at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be on November 3 at 1:00 p.m. Lunch will follow.

Pallbearers are Clinton Bear, Nelson Flett, Paul Chief, Gordie Carver, Dylan Straight, and Richard Bruno.
