Brian Black born July 31,1964. Suddenly, after a lengthy illness Brian passed away December 12, 2025 at 3:34 a.m. at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre.
Brian is predeceased by his mom, Irene Black Smith his dad Stanly Morrisseau; brothers Dean Black, Stanford Morrisseau and Clifford Morrisseau (Yellish); sisters Delia Henderson, Doris Keeper and Lenore Mckay.
Brian leaves to mourn his wife Stephanie Black; children Brian Jr, Tya (Dean Richard), Daniel, Dartaganan (Ray) and Brian the 3rd ; grandchildren Zoey, Keenan, Dean Black, and Dean Jr, Brooklynn, Bailey and Jackson.
Brian was always involved in working with the youth, he worked at freight house and ross brook house in his youth. He loved to play baseball; Brian liked to roller skate play arcade games and later loved to coach the kids. Brian went into the military and served 4 years.
Brian and Stephanie got married in February 14, 2011. They both went to RCMP Training and worked at Buffalo Point. Brian went on to get his degree; he retired as the VLT manager for Brokenhead
Brian was fluent in his language he was proud of this "as he would say learn it or don't ask questions"
He also loved to go for rides with Stephanie, they would go exploring and get lost and make there way back to a road. Brian spent most days outside with his grandkids, they would do yard work or help their grandpa fix things around the house. He loved to golf with his sons and would be a happy competitor.
Brian would lighten up the room with his laughter and always made everyone feel welcomed and never shyed away from a conversation, he loved to talk and have meaningful conversations.
Brian fished a lot growing up, this was what he loved to do with his dad and brothers. He would share his funny stories of his fishing adventure's they had. One of Brian's favorite things to do was policing with his father-in-law.
Wake will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at the Private Tom Chief Memorial Hall.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Private Tom Chief Memorial Hall.
