Reinhard Joseph Brian Whiteway SR

 January 11, 1966 – July 9, 2026

            Brian was a beloved son, brother, uncle, father, papa, husband, and friend. He was hardworking, kind, thoughtful, and humble. Brian is survived by his wife, Eden; his children, Faith, Hannah, Jay, Jordan, and Georgia; and his pride and joy, his granddaughter, Humility. He is also survived by his mother, Isla; his sisters, Cyndy, Donna (Hubert), Karen (Gerry), Marie, and Selena; and his brothers, Leonard, Keith, Roland (Corrine), Rudy (Valerie), Larry (Ginger), and Ted, and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Carlos, and his brothers, Charles and Lee; his sister-in-law Bonnie, fathers-in-law Oliver and Murray.

           Brian held various jobs and always worked hard to provide for his family. He served as a Community Constable for Berens River off reserve for 10 years before becoming mayor of the Community Council in Berens River. He later relocated to Winnipeg. Where he worked for 7 years for Berens River Education. Brian has also carried several different roles throughout his life. His passion was always to help others without expecting anything in return.

Wake to being on Thursday, July 23 at 4:30 p.m. in the First Nation Community Church, 44 Tentler St. Winnipeg, MB. 

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 25 at 11:00 a.m. also in the First Nation Community Church.
