Carl Stuart Loutit
(Catfish)
March 16, 1956 – November 21, 2022
Peacefully, with family by his side, Carl passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital. Carl was a lifelong resident of Lockport.
Carl was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Kathleen; nephew Glen and sister-in-law Nancy.
He is survived by his brother Bud; sisters Lorraine, Evelyn and Karen (Rick); nephews Chris (Melissa) and great-niece Paige; Scott (Shauna) and Patrick; niece Kerry (Johan) and great-nephews Mason, Arlo and Ronan; as well as good friend and neighbour Kevin and his family and his cousin Ron Loutit. Carl loved his pets. His little dog Boo and cat Biddy will miss him.
Carl’s love of music began at an early age when he became a member of the original Selkirk Kiwanis Pipe Band. Over the years as a piper he travelled to cities in Canada and the U.S.A.
He made friends easily, his special friends Steve and Di from England will surely miss him.
Carl’s love of fishing began at a young age and continued throughout his life. Another passion he enjoyed, was playing the guitar and singing for family and friends.
Carl will be missed by his family and many friends.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. with a viewing held prior to the service.
