Carol Ann Spicer
Carol was born October 24, 1956 in Kenora, Ontario to proud parents, Betty and Ronald Laurence and big sister Patricia.
Carol passed away on September 25, 2022, with her husband by her side. She was survived by her husband Wesley; her three daughters, Crystal (Emily) Spicer, Amanda (Jon) Adaskin and Britainy (Kellen) Jasper; grandchildren, Braydon and Michael, Liviah and Zakkery, and Cael. Her beloved dog Charlie; sister Patricia (Larry) Peters; brother-in-law Harold (Jackie) Spicer; her three nieces, two nephews and multiple grand nieces and nephews.
As a young girl Carol moved to Winnipeg with her parents and sister where they grew up in West Kildonan. She attended Governor Semple, Edmund Partridge, and later graduated from West Kildonan Collegiate.
Carol met her husband, Wes while in high school and were married on June 5, 1976. Wes was truly Carol’s soulmate, and though things weren’t always simple, they are beautiful example of what true love really meant. They went on to have three daughters and five grandchildren. The most special times was when Carol could be spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She loved her time at her trailer and traveling to different destinations with Wes.
Carol was proud of the career she built for herself as a Senior Benefits Administrator having worked at several companies including Great West Life, Rice Financial, Investors Group and University of Manitoba. She enjoyed baking cakes first when her girls were small and then for her grandchildren to mark their birthdays.
When the kids all left home Carol and Wes moved their homebase out to Lockport. Shortly thereafter, Carol retired to enjoy the little things in life and make lasting memories with her family.
