Clarence Lawrence Bosko
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Clarence Lawrence Bosko, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, who passed away peacefully at Selkirk Transitional Care Unit on March 25, 2025.
Clarence was born on December 2, 1935, in East Selkirk, Manitoba, to Annie and Anthony Bosko. He grew up on a grain farm alongside his eight brothers and one sister, learning the value of hard work and developing a lifelong love for mechanics.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Agnes, and his children Jim (Leslie) and Sherry (Phil). He was a proud grandfather to Alisa (Chris), Brandon (Tiana), Shelby, T.J., Nicholas (Leah), and Samantha (Adam) and a cherished great-grandfather to Wyatt, Huntleigh, Gracelyn, Lorelai, Hunter, and Olive. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
Clarence was predeceased by his mother Annie, father Anthony, five brothers, and his sister.
Clarence worked for CN Rail for 37 years before retiring, but his passion for working with his hands never faded. He spent countless hours in his yard, surrounded by the thousands of cars he took apart and rebuilt over the years. He was happiest when tinkering under the hood of a vehicle, sharing stories with family and friends, or heading out on his next fishing or hunting trip. Camping in his trailer was one of his greatest joys, and he loved nothing more than spending time at Wanipigow, making memories with those he loved.
He had a deep appreciation for nature and enjoyed feeding and watching the squirrels and birds that visited his yard. His late dog, Lucky, was always by his side. More than anything, Clarence valued time with his family, who will forever cherish the memories and wisdom he shared.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. The service can be viewed via the following link: https://youtu.be/a1EEQaTl440
