Connie Kathleen Folster

 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sister Connie 

She passed away suddenly on Sunday July 19, 2026 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, 

She was predeceased by her mother and father Thorie Smith Sr and Irene Smith , her baby brother William Smith (roach) wife Diane

Left behind younger siblings Penny Folster, nephew Stephen (Janelle), nieces Sarena Rita Alarie nephews Jeremy, Justin, nieces Crystal and Randi (Ralph)

Brother Thorie Smith Jr wife Lori, nephews Nick, Blake nieces Candice, Sheena numerous cousins and aunts and uncle who she touched. 

She was the most loving, generous, accepting woman who in the family had no children but treated Tess ( Jaqueline Kipling), Stephen Folster as her own but loved everybody equal. 

She was a one of a kind and those who knew her know what I’m talking about. 

She never asked or expected from anyone except her little sister who was with her the best she could be. 

She loved her scratch and lose, scary movies that when she screamed everyone jumped. It was like she was in the movie herself. She was always smiling even when she was complaining. 

Gone far too young but lived free, she’ll be forever loved

Funeral services will be held at Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline St. Selkirk, Manitoba, on Wednesday July 29, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Tea to follow at the Gordon Howard Senior Center at 384 Eveline St. Selkirk, Manitoba
