Obituary

Dale Lemay

March 13, 1950 – February 4, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dale Lemay on February 4, 2026, in Selkirk, MB, at the age of 75.

Dale was born on March 13, 1950, in Altona, MB, the second youngest of five children born to Helen and Robert Kreitz. She grew up on the family farm in Letellier, where she developed a deep-rooted love for animals.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Dale’s greatest treasure was her family. She is survived by her husband, Ronald; her two sons, Shane (Claire) and Chad (Kara); and her five grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Adria, Kenzie, and Kate. She also leaves behind three of her siblings: Lynn, Barrie, and Gary.

Dale was a wonderful soul who loved to golf or tend to her horses, dog and cats. She was a woman who loved to talk and was known above all for her unwavering honesty. She never left people guessing; if you wanted to know exactly what she was thinking, all you had to do was ask or sometimes just be in the room with her.

Those who knew her will remember her sitting comfortably with a cup of tea and a sweet treat. Whether she was settling in to watch one of her favorite movies or caring for her animals, Dale’s presence was always felt. She had a strong moral compass which she passed on to her boys. She would often say, “perhaps you should walk a mile in their shoes” when a conflict was encountered. She was a strong person who could throw a hay bale or shovel a driveway also was smart as a whip and had a great sense of humor and the soft touch of a mother.

We love you Dale, you will be missed and never forgotten.
