Daniel Johnson Obituary

Daniel Einar Johnson

Daniel Einar Johnson, born in Arborg Memorial Hospital on December 31, 1960. Peacefully on January 18, 2023, Dan passed away at his home with his wife at his side. He went quietly in his sleep, and was released from his pain, into the hands of the creator.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife Emily, son Chris, stepdaughters, Katie (Andy), Joanne (Steve) and Courtney, grandchildren, Jack, Amber, Dalton, Carter and Bree. He is also survived by his mother Joan Johnson, siblings, Raymond (Vickie), Lawrence (Elin), Tim (Lisa), Jonas (Deanna), Marlene (Denis) and Marie (Greg), aunty Janice (Abuda), uncle Bob, many nieces and nephews and god daughter Jessa Laine.

He was predeceased by his father Marvin Johnson, Amma (Bertha Alexander) and Kent Mozil.

Dan traveled early in his life at 17 to Australia, and numerous places in the world. He returned home to Manitoba to begin his career in Auto Body which he excelled at and specialized in motor sports. His second career took him into the area of corrections where he used his skills in counseling to help everyone around him. No matter what career he was in he always had time to help others with fixing or building something. He was not one to have idle hands, and when he was not working a fishing rod was there. He has now gone fishing, as his work is done.

A private gathering will take place on Jan 31, in Gimli, Manitoba with interment at Hnausa Cemetery. Service can be viewed via the link https://youtu.be/rvsRf42x6l8
