Darlene Marie Rainville
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Darlene Marie Rainville of Selkirk Mb, on January 5, 2025.
Although sudden she was fortunate enough to be surrounded by her family and friends to say goodbye.
Darlene was predeceased by her son Anthony Tomei in 2018 that left a hole in her heart.
Darlene is survived by her long time spouse Leonard, stepdaughter Leona, her son Marcel, her daughter Ines (David), son Mario (Carey), her grandchildren Dylan, Daniel, Syndel, Sebastian, Lydon, Lee, Mara, Marlo and Tianna and great-grandchildren Koen and Emmitt.
Darlene was born in Sakimay Researve in Saskatchewan then adopted and raised in Prince Albert before moving to Winnipeg. It was there she met and married Antonio Tomei and started her family. Darlene was a loving and dedicated stay at home mom for many years. When the kids were grown, she started her career in the restaurant industry as a manager. Darlene went on to manage numerous restaurant chains giving a number of friends and family their first jobs.
Many years later Darlene met the love of her life Leonard Boucher. For the last 32 years they have been inseparable. Taking many trips and enjoying camping and spending time in Berens River. She met many beloved family and friends on Leonard's side of his family. She will be deeply missed by many. Especially by her beloved dog Peyjik.
Wake services will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 7:00 - 11:00 p.m. at Eternal Grace Funerals. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home.
