Darrell Richard Reimer

            It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darrell Richard Reimer on May 6th, 2026, at the age of 79.  Darrell was born on July 31st, 1946 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.

            Darrell spent his career as a skilled welder and fabricator, known for his ingenuity and ability to build or fix just about anything with precision and pride.  At one time, Darrell held the highest pressure welding ticket in the province of Manitoba.  His skill in metal craft extended to his personal passion creating artworks in the form of metal sculptures.  Many of these creations have been passed down to his family as his legacy.

            Music was Darrell’s other passion in life.  An avid collector of music, he also played guitar and often entertained residents at his care home by playing harmonica.

            Darrell had a fondness for animals, often joking that he got along better with animals than people.  In his youth, he raised an orphan deer as his pet.  He could often be found feeding squirrels and birds on his deck during his retirement.  Darrell will rest with his last faithful dog companion Tessie.

            Darrell was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacy (Richard); his former wives, Frankie and Sheilah; his parents, Milton and Patricia; his brother Stuart (Audrey); and his grandchild Sebastian.

            Darrell is survived and celebrated by his sons, Brendan (Teresa) and Dayne; his siblings, Lynda (Bill), Garth (Gail), and Candice (Rick); his grandchildren, Rorie, Reece, Keegan, Terran and Aislan; and a wide circle of friend and extended family.

A private celebration of life will be planned in the near future.
