Darrell (Halen) Waterman Obituary

Darrell “Halen” Waterman

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darrell “Halen” Waterman on the 1st of June 2026 at his place of residence. Left to cherish his memory are his son Travis (mother Patsy), his step-son Mike (Jaz), sisters Darlene and Gaylene (Jeff), nieces and nephews, uncle Tommy, aunt Danna, his best friends Kenny, Trevor, Keith, and many more.

He was predeceased by parents Bunny and Eleanor, nephew Dusty, great-nephew Zur, and brother-in-law Blake. Darrell’s long-time companion, his dog Sparky, who has also recently passed will be buried alongside him.

Darrell was born in Selkirk on 15 January 1964, he had a full career at the Mill in Selkirk and was retired for a few years before his passing. Darrell’s most proudest accomplishment was his son Travis. Darrell spent many summers camping with his son, their most memorable moments being at Clear Lake. Darrell enjoyed outdoor sports such as fishing and hunting especially with his son during the annual Thanksgiving Day Hunt.

Darrell will be missed by many, especially his family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Rest easy Dad, I love you!
