Devonne Favell-Mowat Obituary

Devonne “Devo” Favell-Mowat

Tragically, on May 16, 2020, our creator called another one of his angels home. Devo fought a long and courageous battle with his broken heart disease and was rewarded the peace he had longed for.

Devo will be missed by his parents Laurie Favell and Donald Johnas; sister Stevie-Rae Mowat and her daughter Nelly Isabella; his Nanny Agnes Favell and Grandma Ila Mowat. He also leaves to mourn Yvonne Jonas (lil G-Ma); special cousins Ryan, Jonathan and James Campbell; Uncle Ray and Aunty Patricia Campbell. Devo was predeceased by his dad Jon Mowat and most recently his favourite uncle Marty Favell who passed just 5 days prior to Devo’s surrender to heaven’s call.

Devo was born on November 25, 1991 in Winnipeg, MB and lived in Selkirk, MB. Toronto, Ont. and finally Winnipeg, MB.

Devo graduated from the Academy of Broadcasting in Acting from the Lord Selkirk High School, where he won many golf championships, as well as hockey when he was younger. He also worked at Mandak and graduated with an Autobody Minor to his surprise.

Devo can best be remembered for his uncanny sense of humour, his love for dancing and for his kindness. He was nicknamed “Hollywood” by his co-workers for his larger than life personality and he also did well in any environment he lived in.

Viewing and interment was held on Thursday, June 4, 2020 in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Cemetery.
