Donald Robert Gordon

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Donald Gordon on May 12, 2025.
He is survived by his wife Greta; daughter Sandra (Darrell) Bodnar; granddaughter Lindsay Bodnar (Eriq Roque); sister Madeline Mackenzie; brothers-in-law John Williamson and Gordon (Brenda) Williamson; plus many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Rae and Douglas Gordon; in-laws Beryl and Wesley Williamson; brother-in-law Gordon Mackenzie; sister-in-law Alva Llewellyn, brother-in-law Bryce Llewellyn, sister-in-law Mavis Williamson and nephew Jeff Llewellyn.
Donald was born and lived in Selkirk all his life. Donald worked in the family garage business with his father and continued until his retirement.
He met Greta when she was a school teacher in Selkirk and they married in 1957. They had one daughter Sandra. Sandra and Darrell has one daughter Lindsay.
Donald was a member of the Kinsman Club and the K40. He was also involved in the Marine Museum of Manitoba. His cottage, on Medicine Creek near Clandeboye, was a place to relax and enjoy the company of friends and neighbours.
He travelled to various places with his family to Florida, Hawaii and Mexico. Special memories.
His last days were spent in Betel.

A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, Mb.
