Donald Young

It is with profound sadness I announce the death of my beloved husband Donald on October 30, 2021, 5 days past his 78th birthday and many years sooner than he had planned.
   Don was born to Joe and Emily (Darraugh) Young at Fort William Ontario. He grew up in the Beardmore and Geraldton areas until he left at 18 to join the AirForce.
      We met in 1964 when he was transferred to Portage la Prairie, MB and we married in 1967. He left the Air Force, upgraded his education, and worked for Provincial Govt  in vehicle standards department retiring in 2002.  Don was always busy trying out new hobbies and endeavours.
  Don is survived by his wife Margaret (Wolfe) and his beloved Oreo and the cats; his sister Sharon Ann & Finlay, their son and his family. He is survived by Margaret’s family: Bob and Donna Wolfe, Tracy, Jason, Travis, Leah, Geordie, Tamara, Katie, Kyle, and their 10 grands; sister-in-law Linda Wolfe, Jamie, Michelle, Jenn, Colin and her 7 grands.
Don was predeceased by his parents, extended family, cousin Bobby, and brother-in-law Jim Wolfe.
    Due to Covid and family out of province a memorial will take place summer 2022 in Portage la Prairie area.
  If one wishes a donation to Heart and Stroke, Alzheimer’s Assoc of MB and NorthWestern On, or a pet rescue  would please Don.
